Many thanks for
a most enjoyable stay. The cottage we found very comfortable and
well equipped in a delightful and peaceful location. We enjoyed
exploring the area, and were particularly impressed with Holker Hall.

What a lovely
chill-out place. The cottage, the views, the birds, etc,
etc. We'd never seen woodpeckers and tree creepers before.
We'd love to come back.

Jasmine sat at
the table having her hair and make up done in preparation for her
wedding to Matt at Arkholme Church on 7.8.10. What a lovely setting; the
cottage, the birds, the views. What a wonderful contribution to
an amazing day.

A comfortable
cottage in a peaceful location with lovely views of the Howgills.
Enjoyed Ruskin's View at Kirkby Lonsdale, Ruskin's house at Brantwood,
Coniston and visiting the nearby villages. We also had a
"Brief Encounter" at Carnforth station. We enjoyed
feeding the chickens and watching the wildlife from the cottage.

Our first stay -
fabulous walks and wildlife. I never thought we could tire

Wonderful week, what a
gem! The views are totally outstanding and peace and quiet to
match. Only a few miles to the dramatic city of Lancaster and,
in the other direction, there's the pretty town of Kirkby
Lonsdale. To top it all beautiful walks in between along the
Lune, taking you through hidden hamlets. We really couldn't ask
for more. Simply the best!

Locka Old Hall Cottage - so easy to arrive and
so much harder to leave. Can't believe our 3rd visit already,
where does time go? We must book our 4th visit very soon.

We'd like to say thank you
for letting us stay here. It was the perfect retreat for anyone
who has been through a stressful time. We certainly made the most
of our stay; taking in the scenery, walks, local food, and yes, the
birds were a delight to watch and feed.

Very comfy
cottage and excellent weather overall. Enjoyed the bullfinch,
woodpecker and nuthatch and of course the hens, who were very
entertaining. Great location for the Dales and the Lakes.
